Burger King sells a veggie burger now and they're not bad. Have them skip

the mayonnaise though to reduce fat.

Bean Burritos at Taco Bell are made with No Lard beans, so they're not

terrifically high in fat.

You must be a desperate man. Those BKVeggies are horrid!

I think they are unless they make them differently in the

midwest. One should make a point of asking them to hold

the cheese or expect them to be high-fat.

Subway's veggie delight sandwich is wonderful.

Get a six inch and hold the mayo and cheese for the

healthiest best tasting fast food option.

I agree! Subway is the healthiest fast food resturant that's popular. There's

some others that are like Subway though.

True, but they?re almost definitely not vegetarian, as well as the

Subway sandwiches mentioned. There is rennet in a lot of cheese.

Cornstarch in baking powder and wheat in bread and tortillas, yeast in

bread, soybeans in mayonnaise, tomatoes, onions, and peppers, are all

genetically engineered, and most manufactured food has a lot of other

ingredients. Often they are made from soybeans and corn, probably the

most genetically engineered items.

100% vegetarian manufactured food is actually pretty hard to come by.

I would recommend never eating at any fast food place. Personally, I

don?t care that I go hungry when that is all that is around.

Eventually, I find a grocery store or something with vegetarian food.

To my knowledge, wheat has not been approved as a GMO product to

date. I do know that it is coming. Also, I have not heard about the

onions and the peppers either and from what I understand, the Flavr-

Savr tomato was taken off the market.

(another good reason here to encourage labelling of GMO foods---we

don't even know what is being modified and what is not!!)

http://www.thecampaign.org/News/dec03c.php#sees Here is some

information if you scroll down the page on the approval of GMO

wheat. It's not being done yet, but is coming.

http://www.thecampaign.org/education/brochuregrowth.php more

information on what is being engineered.

www.thecampaign.org is an excellent resource on this topic.

OK....let me clarify here........GMO wheat of course IS being done,

but is not currently approved for sale yet. So, they are doing it,

but it's not being sold in supermarkets.
