Guest guest
Why do people think this? Why would anyone be entitled to anything automatically? Seems to me one must earn the right to have an opinion by becoming informed, the same as one should earn the right to hold a belief by judging things against one's life experience and that of others, etc. Just curious why everyone falls back on this indefensible position so often. Why does this appeal? I should never have even replied to that message. I didn't mean to offend anyone. Sorry. It won't happen again. Guest guest
Janice, you have no reason to apologize for saying that " We are all entitled to our beliefs " ...I can not speak for outside of the US, but here in the USA we ARE legally all entitled to our beliefs! If anyone ends up being offended by something you have said, then they are obviously easily offended and might deserve a good zen whack. Toss in a few swift kicks while you're at it next time and if that doesn't snap them out of it, " snatch'em baldheaded " as my mum used to say. Guest guest
Yep please don't stop expressing yourself on account of me. and I wasn't offended, I just came off as more defensive than I meant to. I was trying to in my assasine way to encourage you to keep an open mind about evolution i.e. read a good book or essay in support of evolution before dismissing it as sacreligious, as I have read Creationist arguments against evolution. I will agree that everyone should feel free to believe what they want, but I also basically agree with what Gene said. We should always inform ourselves to both sides of an argument before believing one side is right. Question everything, as the anarchists say.
