Guest guest
We have reached the number of membership 666 with the addition of new member kmramki. I wonder if their real name is Damien? What is everybody eating for dinner tonight? It is so hot here and I am wilting and uninspired to cook. I may have to head out to the grocery store just so I can stand in their walk-in beer cooler! ~ PT ~ I do not know what I may appear to the world; but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me. ~Isaac Newton, philosopher and mathematician (1642-1727)

I sauteed mushroom, onions, green peppers, sliced cabbage and cooked carrots. Spread some mustard on a wrap bread, I used an Italian flavored flat bread, and then spread this warm mixture over the entire flat bread. I added fresh spinach, avacado, tomatoes, feta, and a creamy Caesar dressing and rolled it up.....Yummy! Jan
Guest guest
Well, we are both retired so we find that we enjoy having our main meal of the day at lunchtime - supposed to be better for the bod and for the figure that way ;=) - and today it was stir-fry veg (broccoli, green beans, red and green peppers, mushrooms, chilies, ginger, garlic, mushrooms and gawdsonliknow what else (kinda clearing out the crisper) with kaffir lime leaves, mushroom soy, lemon and lemon zest, sesame oil and sesame seeds. Served with a little rice, of course. It was a lazy meal, but it tasted fine. Tonight I have some left-over ratatouille to have with some green leaves of some kind ;=) The weather here is not terribly hot, about 28 C (what's that? around 82F?) but the humidex is 38 (about 102 F ?) - so it feels a tad steamy. It rained this morning and we are threatened with thunderstorms for the afternoon and evening. As for the member number, that might explain the hellish weather and the crashing in the heavens. Good thing I'm not superstitious, eh? *LOL* Best, Pat > > What is everybody eating for dinner tonight? > It is so hot here and I am wilting and uninspired to > cook. Guest guest
Just email one of those over here, will you please (minus the dairy)? To hades with the ratatouille! What is Italian flavored flat bread? Guest guest
The Italian Herb flat bread is called " Flat Out " . It's flat like a tortilla but soft like bread...(that's what the wrapper stated). I picked it up in the deli section of WalMart. It's much better then just plain tortillas. Hey, Pat, I'm emailing you a sandwich now, enjoy!! I had wondered if that's what you were talking about! It kind of reminds me of between a tortilla and a " pocket bread " , only oblong, and with flavor choices. ;~) == Want to see what I've been reading?? http://pixxart.com/bc http://bookcrossing.com/referral/PHC
