off topic; can someone help this woman?

I'm including a post here from another group I belong to. This woman could

really use a hand in transporting her kitties (and hopefully herself) from

Tennessee. I live in SoCal, so I'm not much help, but hopefully someone out

there can be of some assistance...

Dearest Feline IBD Members,

My name is Karen Conerly, Mommy to Brandy, Miss Scarlette, & Bebe.

Some of you are already familiar with me. I am currently visiting

another member of this wonderful group, Don Wheeler. We are engaged

to be married, however this may not happen because of my current

situation regarding my most Precious Furbabies!

I am sooo desparate in getting my babies up here to Don, so that he

can care for them while I head on back to my home in Newport,

Tennessee. I will have to leave Don's by next Tuesday, the 9th, so

that I can be in Newport by the late evening of the 10th. I have to

travel by way of Greyhound Bus Lines.

Don sent Lee a long letter a couple of weeks ago explaining our

delimma, and she gave him permission to post it to the FelineIBD

group. Many of you may have read it and know what I am referring to.

I am writing to you with a very heavy heart, as I am so heartbroken

over my situation. I desparately need help in getting my beloved

Brandy, Miss Scarlette, & Bebe to Belleville, Ontario so that Don can

give them a good loving home for me. I can no longer care for them at

this time, as I am getting ready to be evicted from my apartment once

I arrive back in Newport, Tennessee. I have alot of medical problems,

and need to pay for all of my medications, since I am on Medicare &

Disability. Medicare does NOT pay for any medications, as many of you

in the United States are aware of. This is why I cannot afford to pay

my rent, and this is why I will be evicted in the very near future. I

do not want my dear furries to be homeless along with myself. They do

NOT deserve to be homeless, they did nothing wrong, except have a

very stupid Mommy!

I trust Don Wheeler with my life, and this is why I want him to have

my furries, and this is why I am asking for your help. I cannot

afford to pay for the Airlines for their transport, and Don & I have

written to many Cat Rescue Volunteer groups on the internet, with NO

responses from any of them. PLEASE, can someone help me? I am soo

heartbroken about their future. If they stay with me, they will have

no home! I don't care what happens to me, I really don't, I only care

about my babies!

I feel as though my life is sinking fast, and there is no life

preserver to save me. I feel as if I am getting ready to have a

nervous breakdown with all of this stress and worry. I can't seem to

stop crying, and I just don't know what to do. Don is also limited

with his finances, he cannot afford my furries transportation either.

Please, can someone help me??? As I stated, I don't care what happens

to me, I just want my beloved furries with Don where they truly

belong! They will be happy with him, and I know that he will love and

care for them as if they were his very own Pye & Tasha!

I probably will never be able to get back here to Belleville, Ontario

to be with Don, or my furries, as I have caused them all so much

hurt, and I will never be able to forgive myself for doing this to

them, they deserve so much better.

Please, can someone help me....will someone PLEASE help my Precious

Brandy, Miss Scarlette, & Bebe? Their pictures are listed in the

photo section of this wonderful group. I am BEGGING you...someone

please help!!! I don't know what else to do, or who else to ask for

help. Time is running out very fast, I may be evicted in the next

couple of weeks, I just don't know.

I apologize for having to post this type of message to the group,

however, and as you all can see, I am desparate. I love my furbabies

with all of my heart and I will miss them terrible once they are here

with Don, but I don't deserve to have them, I am a LOUSY Mommy!!! I

will miss Don, Brandy, Miss Scarlette, & Bebe so very much, but I

just don't deserve to be happy anymore!

Again, please accept my apologies for burdening you with my problems,

but this is for my Precious Furbabies, not for myself. I pray that

all is well with all of you and your Beloved Furries. Thank you for

There are many transports for birds and animals ... if you do a search she

should be able to find some. I see that she has contacted some rescues but many

rescues don't transport. Possibly contacting a transport list and asking them

to post or provide her with a contact list.

I wish her much luck! If I can be of further help please feel free to contact

I don't know that there's anything I can do either. I want you to tell her

something for me thought. She doesn't deserve to have health and financial

troubles. Just because she does DOES NOT make her and bad or stupid person. She

does deserve her furbabies. I hope someone is able to help her.

Hello;

Has she tried calling her Church, there are also many church

organizations w ho would help her financially or even the Fire Dept.

or Animal Shelter or Shelters for Abused and homeless women?

Also, she can try calling the local Police Dept. or the Main Library.

She only has to ask for the reference desk.

She can also try her local City Hall.

Since she's disabled, she can always try calling the United Way also.

They might have suggestions .

Also, if she called her local radio and television stations.

Also, local Newspaper.
