Guest guest
hi cherie, i have hypothyroidism too. my dr. said it was ok to eat soy occasionally and that when i did eat soy to make sure it was several hours after i take the thyroid medicine. the same goes for broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage (and some others i can't think of right now). i have greatly reduced the amount of soy i eat/drink, but haven't reduced the veggies. i think the benefits of the veggies outweigh the potential harm they might cause. susie --- CeCetheWegie wrote: > (I know I'm supposed to avoid soy products [because > I'm hypothyroid], but a > teensy bit here and there is one of my guilty > pleasure, I guess...lol) > Cherie
Guest guest
well for my dinner so far I had fresh express oriental salad and I'm gonna have either el monterrey fall apart burritos or 2 boca italian sausages cut up in a pasta anytime dinner. oh and one bit of good news the last time I went to the doctors and had lab work all my tests came out good even the long term bloodsugar and best of all I am no longer anemic. so I was able to pull off getting better without resorting to eating dead animals again woohooo stay cool, Dave
Guest guest
hi dave, are those el monterrey burritos those cheap bean and cheese burritos that always explode in the microwave? lol, i love them! i always pour a boatload of hot sauce over them and eat them with a fork...yummm. glad to hear you are getting better and that your tests came out good. why is it that doctors think you have to eat meat in order to be healthy? ugggh! take care, susie --- Dave <phantombluefan wrote: > I'm > gonna have either el monterrey fall apart burritos > or 2 boca italian > sausages cut up in a pasta anytime dinner. oh and > one bit of good > news the last time I went to the doctors and had lab > work all my > tests came out good even the long term bloodsugar > and best of all I > am no longer anemic. so I was able to pull off > getting better without > resorting to eating dead animals again woohooo stay > cool, Dave > >
Guest guest
That's great, Dave. Congratulations. The dead animals trip is a downer - got a friend who suffers from Thalassemia (or is that two Ls and one S?) and after seventeen years as a vegetarian is now an omnivore thanks to medical insistence. You beat 'em! Good man ;=) Best, Pat > the last time I went to the doctors and had lab work all my > tests came out good even the long term bloodsugar and best of all I > am no longer anemic. so I was able to pull off getting better without > resorting to eating dead animals again woohooo stay cool, Dave --- SANTBROWN townhounds/ http://www.angelfire.com/art/pendragon/ ---------- * " I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet " - Gandhi * " The time will come when men such as I will look upon the murder of animals as they now look upon the murder of men " - Leonardo da Vinci ----------
Guest guest
Wow! That is super news, Dave. Bravo and congratulations on your good health report. You are walking proof that eating a vegetarian diet is good for a human body. ~ PT ~ We must not overlook the role that extremists play.
