Guest guest
Hey all, Hoping someone can help me out w/ some decent restaurant suggestions in the Dallas area? I'm traveling there on business and am a little nervous to be spending so much time in the " Beef, it's what's for dinner " HQ. Thanks in advance! -K
Guest guest
hi jigilou, i lived in the dallas/fort worth area for 8 years. my all time favorite restaraunt is sol's taco lounge in dallas. it's amazing and affordable tex-mex. they have lots of veggie options, my favorite being the veggie chimichanga. they have the best hot sauce and their queso is great too. i've never had anything bad at sol's. i highly recommend sol's. it's also in the deep ellum section of downtown dallas, which is a great area with lots of nightlife...live music, dance clubs, restaurants, art galleries, and shops. here's a link to a review of sol's.: http://www.guidelive.com/profile/101884/?p=1 you'd be surprised at the diversity of restaurants in dallas. it's not all beef. i never had a problem finding veggie things to eat there. there are many vegetarian restaurants, including one called the cosmic cup. and there's a hare krishna temple which has a restaurant that is excellent called Kalachandji's. cafe brazil is also good. you can find addresses and phone numbers for these restaurants at this link: http://www.happycow.net/north_america/usa/texas/dallas/ http://www.dfwnetmall.com/veg/restaurantsdallas1.htm i hope you have a great time in dallas...it's a wonderful city. susie --- Jigilou Snicklefitz <jigilou wrote: > Hey all, > > Hoping someone can help me out w/ some decent > restaurant suggestions > in the Dallas area? Guest guest
Susie, thank you so much for your response! I will definitely check out Sol's and that hare krishna temple sounds very interesting. Part of the problem travelling w/ work is that I often don't get to experience culture. But, I've booked in a " free " Saturday, so I can definitely do some fun things.
