Guest guest
Yeah I have to agree with Dave on this one.....I thought Megan's comment was very selfish and harsh. We all have our opinions and I for one appreciate in this country we are allowed to state them. However, Megan....It would be nice if you would consider the forum that your addressing. Just my humble opinion!! Suzanne <>< Dave Said.... Yeah, we know, you've made it quite clear you don't care about animal suffering.. but this link was for the benefit of those who do. , " Megan Milligan " <yasminduran@c...> wrote: > i'm of the mind that as long as they work with my and my significant other > and I don't get pregnant, i don't care what the heck it's made out of (fyi, i think spermicide ones are just icky overall). > > Megan Nothing will benefit human health and increase the chances for survival of life on earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet. -- Albert Einstein
Guest guest
whoa, wait a goddamned second! of course i give a goddamn about animal suffering! christ! I'm speaking from personal experience here. I fucking wound up pregnant when I was young and stupid enough and DIDN'T use a condom several years ago (the baby didn't make it to term). I apologize for being insensitive. Maybe I should've stated that from the outset, but I don't see how I warranted that attack. Goodbye list. Guest guest
megan, please don't leave the list. i don't think your comment was selfish or harsh. and your personal experience explains why you made the comment. i assume you wouldn't be vegetarian and on this list if you didn't care about animal welfare. don't let two people run you off the list. susie --- Yasmin_Duran <yasminduran wrote: > whoa, wait a goddamned second! of course i give a > goddamn about > animal suffering! christ! That being said, we do have to remember that not everyone who is a vegetarian is interested in animal welfare. That is ONE reason that people become vegetarian, but not the only one. Granted, many vegetarians are interested in it and many more discover it as a good reason without it being the overwhelming issue for them. SO, whether Megan is interested in animal welfare or not is not the issue. I think that some of the other members of the list might want to remember that there are many reasons to be vegetarian and that another member may or may not share those same beliefs. Tolerance and respect are the issues.
Guest guest
" reasons to be vegetarian and that another member may or may not > share those same beliefs. Tolerance and respect are the issues. " Ok, I just had to share the irony...as I was reading this message, yapoop had an advertisement to the right of it for the movie " Intolerable Cruelty " . Well said Sheryl, however I believe she is gone from the database. You two may want to send her your words of support, personally offlist. Perhaps then she will re-scribe (as some hastily un- out of offense, then reconsider after given a few thinking hours and a good meal). Otherwise, another one bites the dust. Later, S.
