Where's the beef? It's inside these 'cheeseburger fries'

September 24, 2003

BY ART GOLAB Staff Reporter Advertisement

The National Cattlemen's Beef Association is muscling in on appetizers.

Meet cheeseburger fries, a deep fried mixture of ground beef, cheese and

breading that tastes, well, like a cheeseburger.

The cattlemen are hoping their invention will do for beef sales what Chicken

McNuggets did for chicken.

Or at the very least elbow aside those wimpy deep-fried mushrooms, zucchini

and mozzarella sticks that graze appetizer menus.

On the market for almost a year, nearly $1 million worth of the savory

sticks have been sold to restaurants and school lunchrooms across the

nation, according to Oklahoma-based Advance Foods, which makes the

product........

[the rest in the link below...look at how wonderfully healthy they are, per

stick, geesh]....

That's fantastic Niccii! Sounds like you did a great job in helping him

make a somewhat smooth lifestyle change.

That's great that he drinks a lot of water. That's my main beverage of

choice throughout the day and has always been....I can never understand how

people survive on colas all day. Anywho, nice transition.
