Guest guest
I've never heard of any of the dog food on that list...how would I find them? Sherry - dognut Saturday, December 08, 2001 4:56 PM Re: Re: dog food - I would LOVE pet food recipes Vivian I don't know who you're replying to but I posted the recipe for Frosty Paws, but it's a treat, not regular food. I applaud you for doing the best for your furkids. I am attaching the Whole Dog Journal's list of top 10 foods plus the list of ingredients in dog food & what they are. I have researched dog food for 15 yrs. now & I concur with them.
Guest guest
Where do you live? Some of them have web sites. I can get California Natural at a pet supply in my area, although it had too much strong fiber for one of my dogs. Do you have a Whole Foods Market or any natural food store near you? Guest guest
Small world. I live about 45 mins. n. of Ann Arbor. You might check on-line at the manufacturer's sites. I have a Whole Foods near me too & it's a wonderful market, but they can be pricey. I feed mine Nutros Natural which is a really good pet supply store dog food. It has not artificial anything & no by products or misc. grain filler. From what I've researched, it's probably one of the best of pet supply store foods. But if you can afford the top 10, try to get them. Or if you can find one at a regular feed store or pet store it would be a better price. I don't think it's that common to find them at a feed store but you never know. The feed store I go to for bird & squirrel food sells the Nutros & another natural one. I also give my veggies, fruit & cheese treats. Sherry wrote: I live in Ft. Knox Kentucky. Louisville Kentucky is a 45 min. drive away. from What I've heard the natural foods stores in louisville are very small and there are only 2 or 3 of them. However my brother lives in Ann Arbor Michigan where there is a giant wholefoods store and a natural foods store on every corner. So maybe the next time I go home I will go checking them out. Maybe I should check out whole foods' website.thankssherry - dognut Sunday, December 09, 2001 5:46 AM Re: Re: Top 10 dog foods Where do you live? Some of them have web sites.
