Guest guest
I'm doing a new recipe...ham roll-ups...for my non-veggie friends this Christmas Eve and have stuffing left over (I do the foods for this party 50/50 vegetarian and non-vegetarian). Since there's more stuffing, what could I roll it into that would hold up well for the evening? Is there a veggie lunch meat substitute anyone can reccommend, or perhaps, something else? Thanks! Guest guest
Any of the fake meats made by Yves would be fine, I'm sure. I haven't had their fake ham, but their turkey is good and my boys like the bologna. Guest guest
Gina, I made a gyro with one of the Fantastic Foods mixes, using tofu. It wasn't the same but it wasn't bad. I have also used Yves Veggie Ground Round with my old gyro recipe (we call them donairs where I live). Guest guest
lIGHT LIFE DOES MAKE THE BEST SOY LUNCH MEATS.. Judith [jkujawa] Thursday, December 20, 2001 2:22 PM Veg-Recipes Re: Lunch Meat Substitute I once had a craving for a ham and cheese sandwich, and I bought a product (soy based) that was like sliced ham. It was OK. I think it's made by LightLife and my store had it where the tofu/tempeh is. I think rolling it w/ stuffing would be good. **************************************************************************** *** To post to list via e-mail: send e-mail to " Veg-Recipes " To post to list via website: Veg-Recipes/post To contact List Owner: " Veg-Recipes-owner " Subscribe or Un through site: / OR Un via e-mail: Veg-Recipes- Calendar: Veg-Recipes/calendar Bookmarks: Veg-Recipes/links Read or search old messages: Veg-Recipes/messages **************************************************************************** ***
