Guest guest
If production involves various chemicals and/or bad treatment, it makes you wonder about the health and safety of the product. I think that alone is reason enough to share information so folks can make informed choices. I've been on this list quite a while and there has never been any evidence of a moderator. Complaints are probably quite useless, but we all have delete keys for those posts that don't interest us. I'd much rather use mine than make anyone feel bad for posting a question or concern. Guest guest
I have a suggestion that might make everyone happier. I don't really think that this subject violates the rules of the group. However, I also understand why people might not want to read msgs that are off the topic of veggie recipes. So maybe, when posting a topic that is not directly related to recipes or cooking, you could include the designation "off-topic" or something similar in the subject line. That way those who want to delete the msgs can do so easily. Sometimes subjects are specific enough to let people know that the msg is off topic. Guest guest
That's one reason I wanted to know about the chicken/egg thing. My husband and I used to live on cheeseburgers and fries, but are now vegetarians, replacing meats with nuts, beans, tofu, soy, and occasionally fish. We do this mostly for health reasons, and I personally have lost 150 lbs. this way. I'm attempting to get a nutritionist's certification, and food safety is an important subject to me.
