Guest guest
My grocery store just started selling plain couscous in a big jar. I've made the little expensive boxes of couscous before, but never have made my own dish... anyone has some good recipes? Thanks! Guest guest
I live in Brooklyn and the Middle Eastern Shopkeeper, who sells me my couscous and Houkah Smoke, said just fry veggies, spice them, and then add them to the dry couscous. Then barely cover the couscous with boiling water. Wait 3 minutes and enjoy. As for what to put in it... http://www.google.com/search?hl=en & q=couscous angelicwun [angi_nagel] Thursday, May 02, 2002 10:19 AM ISO Couscous Recipes My grocery store just started selling plain couscous in a big jar. Guest guest
Couscous is a nice alternative to rice or potatoes. It goes well with meat in sauce or is great by itself. You can top it with a little butter or olive oil. 1 T olive oil2 cups couscous2 cups water2 vegetable bouillon cubes Put oil, water and bouillon cubes in rice cooker pan. Turn cooker to cook. Bring to a boil. When water is bubbling and bouillon is melted, add couscous. Stir well. Remove from heat. It should be done. angelicwun <angi_nagel wrote: My grocery store just started selling plain couscous in a big jar.
