This tastes alot like meatloaf. Leftovers make good sandwiches, in

fact sometimes I make up a loaf just for the purpose of sandwiches.

Gimme Lean Loaf

2 pkgs. Gimme Lean (beef style)

1 medium onion -- chopped fine

2 cloves garlic -- crushed

2 tablespoons vegetarian Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons ketchup

2 tablespoons prepared brown mustard

2 eggs or equivalent egg substitute

salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine all ingredients. Spread in a

lightly greased loaf pan (9x5x4). Cook uncovered for approximately

45 minutes. Serve hot with gravy or ketchup, if desired.

Hi,

Where do you find vegetarian Worcestershire sauce? I was surprised

(and a little embarrassed) about a year ago to learn that it

contains anchovy. I went to buy a new bottle and read the

ingredients. I told a group at a cookout about every brand

containing fish and a meat eating cook said that that is what makes

it W. sauce. I've been meaning to ask others what they use instead

of it so obviously didn't know there is a veggie version.

Also is Gimme Lean a brand name?

Thanks, Max

Not sure where you're from...but I would guess that most

health/natural foods stores would have it. Mine does - " Annie's " I

think is the brand, don't have any right now or I'd look.

Yes...it is a hamburger-type meat analog, comes in a plastic wrapper

( " chub " ) in the US. Probably other burger substitutes would work fine

too.
