Contrary to what you happen to think, most people think I'm rather intelligent. I would hope I am, as I will probably have a job as a professor next year. Multivitamin use does not substitute good diet. I don't think anyone ever said that. What it does do is surcumvent the occasional lapses that many busy folks have, including myself, in their diet. Some people, like myself, have a genetic resistance to adsorbing nutrients and so need additional sources other than diet. Then there is the case of vitamin C where the RDA is far lower than what many scientists, including the Nobel laureate Linus Pauling, consider therapeutic. It is impossible to eat that much vitamin C in a diet... mainly because humans have a genetic mutation that prevents them from making C on their own, unlike the vast majority of animal species. If you have never heard of this, visit the Linus Pauling web site. Many Americans are overweight, it is true. Why I am not sure, but that does not mean that all of us are this way. While 60% may be plump, that leaves the remaining 40% who are healthy. Based on what you said, I would assume that everyone in your country are all arrogant a.....s but as a scientist, I know that a sampling size of one does not constitute significant statistical backing. The next time you wish to attack a group of folks, try sending the email to yourself first. While America may not be perfect, in fact it is very far from that, it is still a great and wonderful nation where anyone, including you, can speak their mind.
