Guest guest
Hey Melinda, Becky, and Candace--- so where will we go for lunch in Seattle?:-) My sis lives in Bellingham, so I fly that way a bit. I stayed in a hostel by the fish/produce market last time but checked out food places in Fremont area when visiting a friend in Queen Anne. Guest guest
Well, when I'm visiting that area, one of my favorite places to eat is the 5 Spot on top of Queen Ann Hill. - I have several friends who live in the area (mostly in Redmond). I hope to be visiting the area soon, I try to go once a year (: Candace willustillneedme [starcollage] Thursday, July 11, 2002 1:52 AM Seattle eats Hey Melinda, Becky, and Candace--- so where will we go for lunch in Seattle?:-) My sis lives in Bellingham, so I fly that way a bit. Guest guest
Oh, please, can I come, too? Here's a URL for recommended veggie restaurants in Seattle: http://www.seattleinsider.com/restaurants/special/best_vegetarian.htm l Here's QuestDex's list: http://www.qwestdex.com/cgi/search.fcg Anyone know any of those restaurants? I love Moghul Palace in Bellevue, East Indian Cuisine. Meat and veggie dishes there. Their Alu Mutter Paneer is to drool over! My son (also vegetarian) loves Elysian Brewpub in Seattle on Pike or Pine... excellent beer.... fabulous Cheese Steak Sandwich and Hummus Plate, says he. I hate driving/parking in downtown Seattle, but he says there's a pay parking garage across the street. Any other ideas on where to go? (I've been told where to go before - - haha!) Guest guest
Hi Melinda, This outing seems to be turning into a fun time! I would like to come when Candace and other members will be able to attend. However, I only need two wks notice to get a Fri off. Since I fly standby, I get bumped sometimes if there are lots of people coming to Seattle but generally no prob. We could group meet on a Sat. over lunch or dinner but if anyone is free w/wheels on a Friday nite talk to me... starcuts Liked " Capitol " since it was rated well, vegan, and under 15.00 Like " international " foods too but can get mine w/o cheese.. Candace - your recom " 5 Spot " sounded good too! If it was there in 1998, I walked past it daily without trying it! (usually had bag of groceries in daypack). I spent 5-6 wks editing a manuscript that my x and I created in Germany. I was so excited to see " spiderman " since there were shots of many of the streets I walked on. Also, my art was displayed in a few places there and once I stood outside a window atop the original highest skyscraper one windy evening - spactacular view! What's the name of it again? It is a beautiful building with gold leaf inlays on the elevators and a cone shaped dome. xx, David * , " iris054 " <clicker@i...> wrote: > , " rpa1960 " <rpa1960> wrote: > > Oh, please, can I come, too? Guest guest
A couple of my favorites are Cafe Flora and Bamboo Garden. Cafe Flora is pricier but the food and atmosphere are great. Bamboo Garden's decor and atmosphere leave a lot to be desired but the food is always very good. I'd love to meet with you all.
