Guest guest Posted September 5, 2002 Report Share Posted September 5, 2002 6-8 green onions (or 1/4 regular onion) - saute in a bit of butter or oil Mix the onion and all of the following together - 2 packages frozen spinach - thawed with water sqeezed out 3 Tbs minced parsly 2 Tbs chopped fresh dill to taste (or equiv amount of dried) 1 lb feta cheese 4 eggs salt and pepper to taste Now there are a couple ways to proceed butter 8-10 sheets of filo and lay in a 10 " caserole dish, flopping over the sides. Put in the filling and fold the filo over the top to cover. Bake 30-45 min or so, until nicely browned and filling may start to bubble out. Butter 2-3 sheets, cut in half, and put filling in the middle. Fold over to make a nice little package. repeat until you have used up all your filling. Put on baking sheet and bake for 20-25 min until nice and golden. I am lazy so I have only used the casserole method, but it sure is good stuff, have made it for many years!
