Guest guest
I just got done reading my digest, so I thought I would comment on a few things from it.... Irene, that was so interesting to read about the different cultural ideas of how to serve a meal. I knew a bit about the Italian way, but never realised it was so strick. I think we do it more like the Greek here, too. I know I fix everything and then place it out on the table for everyone to dip a bit from. The only course I leave off the table is a fruit or dessert; that always gets served when the dishes from the meal are cleared away. Ladyvelvet, that sugar plum pudding cake sounds divine! The only thing I might be inclined to add to it would be a spot of rum in the glaze drizzle. Mmmmmmmmm. *lol* Yesterday I fixed a wonderful salad for my lunch from leftover ingredients in my frig. I tossed a handful of cooked penne pasta in a bowl, topped it with cooked chopped spinach, some chickpeas (garbanzo beans), and some Italian dressing. I tossed it to coat everything, then added some grated parmesan cheese. I ate it cold and it was very good. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Get creative and fix something good for yourself.
