Guest guest
ROFLMBO Yes I've seen Green onions. OH SILLY ME!!!! I guess I just didn't know they were called scallions. LOLOL Now I'm VERY embarrassed. LOLOL I can just imagine what some of the males think about that one. Here is a female who doesn't know what scallion is. lololol Thanks Kris for explaining what it is. And thanks to MatriXeno too for telling me. Now I think I should find some hole and bury myself in it cause I'm dying of embarrassment over here. I've used scallions in my salads sometimes. LOL Oh dear me. Before I get TOTALLY confused I think I'm just going to say green onions. All other names may confuse me and I am cornfused enough. LOL No comments from anyone now. LOLOL That was interesting about what you typed up, the definition for both Scallion and Shallot MatriXeno. Thank you everyone for you help. To be honest Bonnie, I too have been reading where recipes call for Tempeh in here but *hanging my head from embarrassment again* I don't know what it is. LOLOL Sorry. I hope someone will tell me what it is and where to get it. but I do see that Lee-Gwen told about it tho. Thanks so much. I gather that the U.S. and Canada won't be able to get it unless someone knows where. Take care and I hope everyone had a good laugh over my innocent stupidity. I know I sure did. LOL JC ===== LIVING ON COOKIE TIME! A man was sitting in his living room wondering what time it was, when he heard his small son out in the kitchen. " Bobby, " he called out, " what is the little hand on? " After a short pause, Bobby replied, " A chocolate chip cookie. Guest guest
I once almost purchased bok choy instead of leeks (didn't know what a leek looked like) for my vichyssoise. That would have been an interesting outcome of a recipe. Thanks to the cashier for the last second correction. Cheers, Shawn. >Jeanne Reiswig <r5c2j > > > Red face over in B.C. >Tue, 8 Oct 2002 09:33:12 -0400 (EDT) > >ROFLMBO Yes I've seen Green onions. OH SILLY ME!!!! Guest guest
LOLOL Now stop that. If you hadn't heard that word before how were you to know? You make the rest of us feel better. We all have common words we just haven't happened to come across and need an explaination. Hope your week is going well Kris --- Jeanne Reiswig <r5c2j wrote: > ROFLMBO Yes I've seen Green onions. Guest guest
Reminds me of going to a farmers market in Ohio, I requested the purchase of some green onions. Promptly the gentleman broke off the tops and bagged the bottoms. What I really wanted was the tops..... - " Kris " <kristc99 Wednesday, October 09, 2002 9:33 AM Re: Red face over in B.C. > LOLOL Now stop that. LOL JC ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ No need be embarrassed. *lol* I ask stuff like that all the time. I have no shame. Once I heard somebody saying on a hike in the woods that this scarey noise was just a grouse. I didn't know a grouse was a little wild chicken birdie-thing and I imagined the worst! Finally I asked if a grouse was big and had sharp claws. I still get razzed about that one to this day, and that happened when I was 15! hehehe You do know a chic-pea is the same as a grarbanzo bean, right? *jk* That is another one I learned the hard way. ::::coffeemug salute to being shameless and asking tons of questions:::: ~ P_T ~
