Rita, you're not nuts in eating cottage cheese with

chives or onions. What is funny is I never heard of

eating cottage cheese with chives or green onions till

I met my husband. I always ate it with fruit like with

pineapple or peaches. Then when I met my husband now,

his mother would always add green onions in the

cottage. :) I still haven't tried it that way and I

think it is because I still question whether it will

taste good. LOL

Thanks P_T for the suggestion of using paper towel on

the pizza to get the extra oil off. I have heard of

doing that to other greasy foods. I don't know why I

didn't think of it, then. I know what you mean yucky

to orange tinged slimy grease. YUCKY and oh the

calories and bad cholesterol. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I gather P_T already has met you, Beth, so I'm going

to say it too, congratulations on your new baby. If

you don't mind, did you have a little boy or little

girl. :) Glad you're hear.

OH wonderful Megan. I can't wait to get the recipes

that you have that is good for the heart. :) Thanks so

much.

Now I'm not sure where I posted this question but does

anyone know the nutritional value of pumpkin seeds.

Hubby wants me to buy them but wants to know if there

are any nutritional value to them. Thanks and take

care. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and a fun

filled day. :) JC

Hi JC (Do you go by JC or Jeanne?) and thanks for the warm welcome. <<I gather P_T already has met you, Beth, so I'm goingto say it too, congratulations on your new baby. Ifyou don't mind, did you have a little boy or littlegirl. :) Glad you're hear. >> Thanks for the congratulations. I had a little boy which, with having a 11 and 13 year old girls, was a nice little surprise! He is been such a blessing, joy and is such a good natured little guy. (I think he has an old soul.) Since I did not become a vegetarian myself until a few years ago, its been hard trying to convince my daughters (Or at least make them think its their idea! hee hee) to be one. My 11 year old tries really hard but my 13 year old has not desire. Its my hope to try and raise my little boy as a vegetarian so that it is just a natural. Wish me luck! Here is a bit more:

SEEDS/NUTS - millet (a grain), peanuts (a legume), sunflower, almonds,

walnuts, sesame, pumpkin, buckwheat (a fruit), and flax.

Most seeds and nuts are between 12 and 29% protein. Pumpkin seeds and

peanuts are the highest in protein. Since the protein in seeds is incomplete it

is important to complement them with grains or legumes to provide a quality

protein meal. Nuts ands seeds are usually high in fat, but this is mostly

unsaturated fat. The oil in seeds and nuts range from 45 to 70%. Nuts and

seeds are very good sources of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and

potassium. Many of them contain B-complex vitamins and vitamin E and a

few contain vitamins A and D.

Just had to jump in on this! In Uk cottage cheese comes plain, or in a wide variety of flavours - cheese and chives, onion and cheddar, pineapple, etc, as well as full fat, low fat or virtually fat-free. These are standard products everywhere.
