Guest guest
actually I have been able to purchase both. if I were really ambition, I would get the faux " duck " [no sauce] and really make something yummy. funny part is that neither duck nor ribs did I ever enjoy of the red blooded variety and here I am enjoying the veggie ribs, duck and especially " shrimp. " Though I have to admit that it took me several hundred tries to find the right " shrimp. " As far as the salmon while I like the Veat version, I still eat real salmon [deskinned] for dietary purposes as I seem to have blurred vision late at night without benefit of Vitamin E and espcially complex B vitamins. --------- Forwarded message ---------- " rpa1960 <rpa1960 " <rpa1960 Thu, 12 Dec 2002 04:23:16 -0000 Fw: Re: recipes using Morningstar Ribs Message-ID: <at92vk+9atr > I have probably missed a thread here. But are you saying you can get fake ribs that are not already " in " something? I have only had some that are in a heavy bar-b-que sauce. Max , miti@j... wrote: > > thanks for the suggestions. Guest guest
duh disease strikes again. I think that Gardenburger is the one who make them and NOT Morningstar. My apologies to all. --------- Forwarded message ---------- " bluetulipz <bluetulipz " <bluetulipz Thu, 12 Dec 2002 09:31:37 -0000 Fw: Re: recipes using Morningstar Ribs Message-ID: <at9l1p+dfks > Haven't tried the ribs by Morningstar but I lUV the riblets by gardenburger. I THINK you were saying you wanted a veggie rib recipe..Besides just heat and serve, or chopping them up in a skillet w/ sauteed onions to make sandwiches..this is one quick lil recipe my sweety came up with about a week ago with the riblets: 1 cooked riblet/veggie rib according to directions in the oven 1 medium baked potato 1 to 2 ounces 2% reduced fat sharp cheddar 1 & 1/2 tsps reduced fat/calories/whatever margarine 1 tsp your favorite b-b-q sauce He cooked the baked potato and ribs like normal. Then he cut open the potato and scooped out all of the insides. He mashed up the inside of the potato and while still hot, mixed it with the cheese and margarine. (In mine he put just an oz of cheese b/c I'm not as much of a cheese head) Then he returned the 'mashed' potato back into its skin. He placed this back into an oven for just a couple minutes to rewarm. Before serving, he quartered the 'ribs' and placed them in the slit of the potato and topped with a little b-b-q sauce. We ate this as an entire meal, but I'm sure it could function as a side as well. karen , " rpa1960 <rpa1960> " <rpa1960> wrote: > I have probably missed a thread here.
