I don't relate the human body with sex. I've seen more breasts in my life and more private parts than the normal person. Many of the women I barely knew. (I was a Sr. Peer Counselor and taught breast feeding to young Moms and I've gone to hold their hands when they were alone and afraid giving birth) I don't think a thing about it other than it being functional body parts but I DO associate Playboy Bunnies with sex.

LOL, nicely put! I agree! I admire your broad and wide views of the conversation but I personally don't think it's supported by many of the participates. I think it feels like a violation of respect for others.

I for one do not associate the naked body with it, as I go to the gym

alot and see many naked bodies in the changing room. Should I go up

to those women and tell them, not to be naked, because it is related

to s*x?

first, lets remember the purpose of peta:

http://www.peta.com/fp/veg.html

next bring peta up to speed on the discussion.

hopefully they will put more carrots and melons in the

calendars and less tits and ass.

trashy pics?

its from peta. certainly a worthy post. support the

good people and

give your husband something to new to look at every

month.

Yeah!

Shelter your kids from all the magazine covers too!

they say SEX and

DIRTY all over the naked girls that pose on the

covers. don't leave the

'Better Homes and Gardens' open to a perfume ad!

stick the good ole books.

Allison, feel free to be disgusted.. Pink Sweety feel

free to admire

the curvy veggies. I appreciated the post, but also

understand a

parents concern. I also realize that someone who

clicks on a link with

the word pinup in it from a user named dublin_pussy

and pink sweetie is

lucky to see a person with clothes on. more likely

you would see wide

open shots of privates and penetration advertising

sites your husband is

likely to appreciate.

the fact the calendar appears on the peta website

fully justifies the

post and pinky doesn't deserve a scolding. if you

aren't going to

purchase the pinup calendar, please support peta in

some other way they

do good things, unlike the catholic priests.

Playboy magazine is about sex. Titty bars are about

sex, pin up girls are about sex. Art is not about

sex, nudist colonies are not about sex, women in

locker rooms are not about sex. I know the

difference, so does everyone else. The photo of the

baby watch babe's back side with the lines indicating

cuts of meat was tasteful and slightly artistic. The

playboy sluts trying to look as alluring as possible

with their fakies barely held in by a tiny bikini top

is about sex and very tasteless. Period.

Warmly,

Allison

ME too. I'm a student midwife and doula. I've have

spent many hours between women's legs staring at a new

life emerge through folds of labia. Also breast upon

breast upon breast.

ALSO - I modeled nude in college for the local art

classes and for local artists in the art district. I

was propositioned to do modeling elsewhere, and was

offered a job at hooters (yuck). Turned all down. I

was in it for the beauty --- NOT the sleaze and sex.

I know the difference, and I am NO square...No

stranger to sex, and lots of it. Glad to hear there

is a 25 year old virgin on the list...Wonderful for

you. But, please bear in mind that we do know the

fine line between healthy nudity and sex. SEX sales -

PETA knows this and is using it.

Warmly,

ALlison

I hadn't wanted to show my ignorance unneccesarily:), but when this

topic came up, I had to do an internet search to find out what a

doula was... And I almost cried thinking about the three times I had

gone through childbirth and with no one there who both knew what was

going on and cared about it! I wonder sometimes if living in the

midwest US is a blessing or a curse!
