Guest guest
Hello all, just had to add my opinion on the war situation. I think its wrong to talk about " Americans " in this context. Online i know many americans who are all lovely people. It is right however to talk about George Bush. The american people can't do more than they are already doing i suspect - Bush has his own agenda. I'm also concerned about what Tony blair is going to do about the current situation. Over 80% of the UK is against war yet Blair seems to be ignoring this. I'm going to an anti-war demonstration this weekend in Cardiff. I'm not gonna go on anymore because this is a veggie list and its not the place for it. But i think that Allison got it exactly right in her post - good on ya chick, its people like you that make the world a better place, peace, Laura xx ------------- Check out my : / ------------ " Love is a simple practice yet it is very beneficial for the individual who practices it as well as for the community in which he lives, for the nation, and for the whole world " - The Dalai Lama, 1980 _______________ Add photos to your e-mail with MSN 8. Guest guest
Message: 8 Tue, 07 Dec 2004 15:27:36 +0200 Dorith <yourfrienddc Amy/Donuts Hi Amy, I am sorry, I have no good recipes for donuts, at least not that I am aware of. Maybe in some cookbook. The honest truth is that we buy them.... I did make sweet potato latkes this morning; grated in the food processor. No harm done to the hands. Wishing you again a great hanuka week ~ Dorith Hi Dorith and Amy, I've also made them with carrots and with zuchinni (separately, not together, tho not a bad idea together). This year I'm considering making them with Jerusalem artichokes. Now that I finally cooked up the artichokes and really liked how they tasted, I got over how funny looking they seemed. Every year I tell myself I'm not going anywhere near sufganiyot (fried donuts). At least I'm not wolfing down two or three a day as I did a few years ago. Still you'd think for the first day I could have resisted. At least I'm glad I didn't have a whole one, just a little bite from this one and a bite from that one. :>) Still think total was less than a whole one. Tomorrow I promise myself I'll eat well - temptation won't be around me tomorrow. We did go out to a restaurant and didn't do so well there either - can taste the heaviness and saltiness of the food and very much missed my grains. Made a sweet vegetable drink now to hope to bring me back on keel (sweet vegetable drink: 1/4 cup onions, cabbage, carrots and pumpkin into 3-4 cups of water, simmered 1/2 hour and drained - drink only the liquid - heaven) But will take a while to get this salty taste out of my mouth - they had some sauce, who knows what they put in it. My Dad and my husband were both put off that I asked so many questions of what goes into the food, but even with all those questions, I have still to find a restaurant I enjoy as much as my own kitchen!!!! A light-filled Chanukah week to you both and anyone else celebrating. Klara Take Mail with you! Get it on your mobile phone.
Guest guest
Hi, I placed this recipe in the macrobiotic database. I tried it (blending the veggies and water before heating) and it looked like a nice light soup so I put it all in a soup mug and sprinkled in a few oriental rice crackers and a little cilantro. Snow on the ground outside so this is nice and quick and warm. , Klara LeVine <klara_levine> wrote: > We did go out to a restaurant and didn't do so well there either - can taste the heaviness and saltiness of the food and very much missed my grains. Guest guest
this sounds great for breakfast for me. How much of each veggie did you use? Guest guest
1/4 c. of each vegetable (onions, carrots, cabbage, pumpkin) plus 3 or 4 c. of water. Blend it and simmer for 1/2 an hour. I didn't have pumpkin today but used sweet potato with a little tamari instead - it was good too. or try this link /database? method=reportRows & tbl=1 , " Maria/Chanda " <puterwitch@c...> wrote: > this sounds great for breakfast for me.
