1 15 oz can of pinto beans*

1 15 oz can of refried black beans*

1 tsp. minced garlic

1 cup water

1 6 oz. can tomato paste

1/2 cup chopped red onion

1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper

1 tsp. corriander

1 tsp. cumin

1 tsp. paprika

1.2 cup salsa

* You can find vegetarian beans almost anywhere, but I have had good

luck at Kroger...regular and healthy aisles.

Saute and simmer.

This can be used for Burrito filling, or a great toritlla chip

dip...even taco salad!

I am allergic to corn, so I toast tortillas in a skillet, then cut

for chips! No oil or anything added. Yum!

I hope you enjoy!

Ok, maybe I am displaying my ignorance but I keep seeing vegetarian

beans and cannot figure out what that means. What are in other

beans that would make them not vegetarian? Thanks.

pork or some other kind of meat fat! YUCK. You might want to try the vegetarian baked beans...they are really, really good. :)

Thanks! I had never thought about meat product being in beans....

Oh, yeah, they add it for "flavor"....be careful when you buy canned beans...it should say that the only thing in the can are the "beans and water". My hubby went and got some canned beans at the store and didn't think to look so we had whole pantry of different beans I couldn't eat....learned HIS lesson, huh? LOL!
