Guest guest
If you didn't like Tofurkey the Now and Zen is basically just like it. The gravy was excellent and so was the dressing that came with it too. But those that didn't like the Tofurkey in my family didn't like the Zen turkey either. They said it " squeaked. Guest guest
hahahahaha The now and Zeb tastes like a sponge. You could wash the pots and pans with it after dinner. We didn't like ti last year either. This year it's a loaf from our files and side dishes. Smiles, Donna linda <lindai81 wrote: If you didn't like Tofurkey the Now and Zen is basically just like it. Guest guest
That Now and Zen thing is so bad. I tasted it last year and will never eat that again. Reminded me of those toys you stick in water and they grow. Mo , " linda " <lindai81@c...> wrote: > > If you didn't like Tofurkey the Now and Zen is basically just like it. Guest guest
And so we have decided too and the blasted thing cost $17. ouch...each had a tiny slice and only a couple bites. I have the rest of it to figure something else to do with it. Any suggestions out there? Maybe I will chop it up and hide it in something. I hate waste. Maybe with spaghetti sauce turned into enchilada sauce. Spicy. My daughter knows I will try to get it down all of us regardless. LOL We too will make a normal delicious dish next year. We know better than to try to mimic m@%t. Just that we are slow. learners. However, you are facing the firing squad for not warning us. Where the h*ll. were you when I was talking about it anyway? linda - purplepassion hahahahaha The now and Zeb tastes like a sponge. You could wash the pots and pans with it after dinner. Guest guest
OMGoddess! You all had this before and didn't warn us? We would have taken your word for it! It was bad, really bad. LOL Now I have two people to line up for the firing squad!! <grinning> linda - alucard_man That Now and Zen thing is so bad. I tasted it last year and will never eat that again. Guest guest
I don't recall a mention in the past of this horrible product, I would have made a comment if I read your post. I thought everyone knew how bad they tasted. This year they weren't out for sale in my area. I do like the Veat products and use those occasionally but the Now and Zen should be pulled from the shelves. It makes you wonder how they stay in business. Have you tried the Quorn? I hear good and bad about this product but since I had such a bad experience with the Now and Zen I decided against it. I made the lentil loaf from the files and used mushroom gravy, delicious indeed. Guest guest
I must not have mentioned the Un-Turkey in here as Donna didn't recall it either. Boy, sure should have. On one of the other lists I did mention it and was supposed to report back about it. I will tell them that a lot of you also dismiss it as being ugly. We are vegans so can't use the Quorn or Veat for that matter. I had Veat when just a vegetarian and it was good. Never tasted the Quorn though, but hear from many that it is good. We tried the Zen because the family didn't care for the Tofurkey last time. I will go the way of you and Donna next year. linda - mrraymondbest I don't recall a mention in the past of this horrible product, I would have made a comment if I read your post.
