Guest guest
HI! My mom came over last week and made me some chilli. Although I wouldn't say that it is chilli so to speak since we changed everything around. I hate kidney beans and she couldn't use meat.LOL So it actaully is like .. what?... thick stew.soup? Here is the receipe (all seasoned to taste so no exact measurements. CHILLI TWIST SOUP Can stewed tomatos Can navy beans 1/4 box of Spaghetti 4 medium -large potatos 1/4 to 1/2 onion 1/2 cup salsa spaghetti sauce BBQ sauce & catsup (optional) dried onion flakes pepper chilli power dash of salt 1) Skin potatos and cube. Boil separately (cook faster that way) 2) Add the seasoning, tomatoes, dried onions and 1 can of water/per can of sauce (add more or less depending onthe thickness you want). 3) Add everything else when potatos are cooked. 4) add salsa, bbq sauce, other seasonings to taste. Slower simmer until noodles are done. When I reheat it I had been adding crushed red peper flakes. Gotta have my SPICEY! Easy peasy! I still have a big doggie bag here to finish up tonight. I haven't had homemade mac & cheese for a long while. I love it but the cheese really bothers my stomach and I've not made a vegan version that tastes anything like the real thing to me. The one in the Uncheese cookbook made the non-hairs stand up on my arms.LOL Off to eat my lunch right now. I made Susie's soup recipe she posted this korning. The rest of the stuff was pretty much mutal. Mac and cheese home made , sweet potatos, salad, greens (which I didnt eat cause she cooked them with ham), bread, soda, the regular. I will say this I was tempted to snatch a piece of turkey breast once it was sliced. AS a whole the turkey was pretty gross looking when you think of of as a dead bird! YUCK. But once she had part of it sliced... I was thinking turkey and mayo on wheat bread with tomato. HOWEVER I RESISTED!!! Instead I had more cake I'll take sweets over meat any day! So that was pretty much the hard part. Then my sister brought her Xbox.. those dance dance revolution one where you have to follow the dance steps to get points.. that was fun. We did that for like 2 hours, literally. The back of my thighs are still sore!
