Guest guest
Loved you web page Linda, you are very talented. R Best On Behalf Of linda 28 November 2005 17:30 Welcome Luke Welcome Luke. I am in Oregon in the U.S. I was a vegetarian for many years. I have been exploring Buddhism since the 1970's. A while back I saw the PETA video called Meet Your Meat and instantaneously became a vegan due to the extreme brutality on the factory farms. Can't figure out why it took me so long to go vegan, but guess like a lot of people thought that milk and eggs had to be okay, but after seeing the abuses here in the states of the layer hens and the dairy cows I realized that I had just been fooling myself. I, too, am very old. Are you older than dirt though? LOL Two hundred yards from the sea? How wonderful, and probably blustery too. Would you be willing to post your web site so we can see what you do? I am into simplicity with the cooking thing although that used to be quite the opposite. Now if it isn't ready when I am hungry I pop popcorn to assuage my growling stomach. Again, welcome. linda " Whatever you do will be insignificant and it is very important that you do it. Hi, Thanks to my very good friend " Thelilacflower " I have been invited to join this great Vegetarian group. The name is Raymond but you can call me what you like. (my nick name is Luke) I have been a non corpse crunchier for many a long year now, at first it was because I did not like the way factory farming was treating our fellow animals then as I drifted more into Buddhism it became more of a quest type of thing; lets face it who wants to be eating the reincarnation of auntie Betty? So who is this nut? Well, Im English, and very old! I live in a place some 35 miles from London called Canvey Island, (its not as exotic as it sounds) 200 yards from the sea. Im a qualified technician Engineer but my passion is art... I paint and have a studio where the world disappears; I sell my work via my web site and from galleries but I would not care if i never sold! I paint because I love to. I Also teach English history via email to any who wish to know.(mostly in the US.) I have lectured on the subject in Grand Rapids MI. Im looking forward to expand my cooking skills and Veggie cook book with the help of all the good people in the group. Thanks Ray (luke)

Guest guest
Luke....I love your work. Love the colors and the way you see things. Thanks for sending the link. I am being really bold though and including this link below as it took me a while to find your pictures...couldn't figure out where the pictures were except on that opening page where there is only one. I am so darned computer illiterate thought if there was some one else out there that was too they might like the direct link to your pictures...hope this is okay with you...whack me if it isn't. That is if you can find me! LOL Oh, yes, you are as old as dirt! ROFL Just like me. But then we had the experience of a life time and being an old hippie gives some credence to the fact that there are more important things in life than trailing along behind. http://raysartcouk.site.securepod.com/page_000.htm linda " Whatever you do will be insignificant and it is very important that you do it.
