Guest guest
Did I miss something? I know I'm fairly new to this list, but aren't the recipes supposed to at least be vegetarian? " macjk1 " macjk1 talked proudly about a menu containing chicken: " small pieces of chicken, but enough to take care of the protein. " First of all, you don't need to consume animal flesh to fulfill your protein needs. There is sufficient protein in beans and legumes, nuts, seeds, whole grains, dark greens and sprouts, but if you are really paranoid about this (in a world where we get more protein than is healthy for us) try some of the many substitutes. Here are a few places to order substitutes: http://harmonyvegetarianmeats.com http://www.vegieworld.com/ http://www.nomeat.com/ Many regular chain supermarkets carry meat, chicken and fish analogues (fakes/substitutes) made with soy and/or gluten, but if your local store does not carry them, health food and whole food stores will. Also Asian groceries carry a lot of these products. You can find them frozen, refrigerated and canned. Especially if you are trying to become vegetarian and you're looking for ingredients to put in recipes, give these products a try. from Maida Citizens for Pets in Condos, http://www.petsincondos.org South Florida Vegetarian Events, http://www.soflavegevents.net

Guest guest
Heck, even broccoli is 20% protein.... just so low in calories you'd need to eat a lot of it! :-)
