Guest guest
OMG_ddess, that is so funny! Now some folks on my veg group love tofurkey while others just hate it. i have tried it in the past, and i didn't care for it very much; tasted okay, but i found i kept re-tasting it all that same day and that was very yucky. Now i wonder how the people who love tofurkey cook it? i wonder if they do something different that we missed. ~ pt ~ If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world. ~ J. Everyone was really supportive of my commitment to vegetarianism. We had so many vegetarian dishes. Anyway, back to the tofurkey. We made it according to the package directions.and it turned out awful! My favorite descriptor was " spam with gasoline in it. " I laughed a lot at that. My dog wouldn't even eat the stuff. Guest guest
I definitely know what we missed they are doing differently than we are, at least where the Now and Zen Un-Turkey goes for sure, the garbage disposal. Run it without cold water and it heats right up, they through it in to cook it and then run like hell. linda " Whatever you do will be insignificant and it is very important that you do it. Guest guest
HI: This year when my daughter and I made the tofurky, we cut off one end and scooped out all the stuffing as it only ok and my daughter doesn't like it. We filled it with our own stuffing that we made. Then a poured a little bit of oil in to my pan and rolled the tofurky in it. Then I sprinkled on some sage and I think some black and white pepper and then baked it. We ate it with some of the tofurky grave on it. We both enjoyed it.
