veggie lunchmeat

Melissa,

I have found the same thing about all the m#@t substitutes;

they are just too high in sodium. That's why I was so happy

to discover home-made seitan using wheat gluten. You can

make your own versions of ch!ck#n, s@*s@ge, etc. using diff.

spices and ratios of water to gluten (for diff. textures).

Search on seitan in the messages to find some links I posted

to recipes which I have tried with success. (Maybe we should

get them into the Links section of this group to make finding

them easier.)

Have fun!

I really like the Yves brand and my favorite is the pastrami.

a 4 slice serving contains 16 g. of protein. Flavor has a touch of a

smokey taste. Made a nice sandwich with tomato, onion, cheese, sprouts

and mayo.
