Guest guest
Bron, canned green peas are so gross. I usually just thaw the frozen green peas out in a bowl and eat. I was a very picky eater as a kid and what I didn't eat on my plate, Donna would.......*LOL* She's still like that. I don't care for cooked carrots, lima beans, mushrooms are just OK and beets I like if they are steamed and added to salads. I have been enjoying greens now that I know how to make them, thanks to Chanda, Lawanna and Donna too (she forces then on me). Sissy ve > > To this day, I can't abide canned green peas. Guest guest
Pepe, Glad you agree on the grossness factor. <g> You were blessed to have Donna, then, weren't you? My brothers and I didn't like the same things. But they capitulated a lot sooner than I did. I was very stubborn--a trait that can serve one well if one uses it judiciously. <wink> I don't care for the cooked carrots, lima beans, or canned cooked mushrooms either. I knew there were a few more, lol...I have gotten to where I only like fresh, sauteed mushrooms. I have read that raw mushrooms should not be eaten because they have cancer-causing properties that way. " Fine by me, " I thought, " they taste like dirt fresh anyway! " LOL Glad you're gittin' to like greens. I am still just blown away that I loved my soup so much. I was raised with ham and bacon cooked in all the vegetables. I was SURE I'd be disgusted with turnips and greens sans the above, but my oh my, I got the NEWS! They are absolutely mouthwatering alone. 'Course, it helps that I haven't eaten any meat in six months and more, but I just made myself add the turnips and greens to the pot. Can't do without those good vitamins. And now I won't do without the great taste either! Bron On 12/6/05, pepepukpetunia <pepepukpetunia wrote: > > > Bron, canned green peas are so gross.
