Guest guest Posted December 7, 2005 Report Share Posted December 7, 2005 WOW ! I thought my spouse was the only person in the world to eat canned peas cold (right out of the can). This is a " comfort food " and is the only canned vege to be eaten; and eaten only in times of dire stress. LOL Me, I don't eat peas at all. I ate them and liked them as a kid. But, somewhere along the way, I began to dislike (hate actually) any pea or bean that burst open in my mouth. This includes all the bean things like lima, pinto etc. Although, in my quest for healthier eating, I am seriously considering giving beans another try. Maybe I should start with the littler peas. In fact, one April Fool's in grade school we switched classes... and people didn'tknow until lunchtime when they happened to serve peas (which I love), and " Lisa " was eating peas, and the kids were flabbergasted. There isn't a pea I won't eat anda veggie I won't try. The only veggie I don't like is okra, and that is because I did not have it coked the right way. I just got a bag and steamed it, and okra is not supposed to be cooked like that for most peeps.
