Guest guest
I wish I could be a sweetly (insane <-- ) caring Mom as you and get my daughter to eat any vegetables. I will try the peas your style and see if that will work with her. Guest guest
Thanks Isis, my mom in law made fun of me, well, one day she started talking about a cousin of hers, and said that she is nuts, and said that she actually fried peas, LOL, imagine her surprise when I frankly sated, " I fry peas. " LOL, her face dropped. Well I guess she never tried the peas sautéed in olive oil with a touch of garlic and sea salt, cause when I made them that night she had seconds, LOL. As far as the asparagus goes, to me it tastes nothing like fresh or frozen asparagus, but it is a different experience. My ancestors lived on veggies they canned for the winter on their farms here in Pennsylvania. They were settlers from Germany, formerly known as " Pennsylvania Dutch " Blessings, Chanda - isisdarkshade Wednesday, December 07, 2005 4:16 PM Re: Chandra vegetables insane I wish I could be a sweetly (insane <-- ) caring Mom as you and get my daughter to eat any vegetables. Guest guest
When my kids were little I used to give them veggies and dip. My son love cucumbers still one of his favorites. My daughter liked carrots more. they would get peppers, celery, carrots, cucumbers broccoli and usually at that time ranch dressing for dip. They would also get celery with peanut butter and sometimes raisins, also sometime cream cheese on the celery. They were eating this from a very young age. Guest guest
Hello Gayle, (merry and lively one) I make a dip of veganaise, parsley, paprika, garlic and onion powder. I created this on my own in one of my chef moments. I have a manifold of vegetables that I enjoy dipped, including endive, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, and celery. Ron When my kids were little I used to give them veggies and dip. Guest guest
HI Ron: That sounds like a great dip.. People were always amazed that at such a young age and I am talking under 2 they ate veggies and dip... They always had them on there plate, lunch and dinner. This was before I was vegetarian. My son would eat a whole cucumber at his meal. I kind of did my own thing when it came to foods and my kids. I would do things like give my son some a drop of juice diluted in his bottle of water and then say to the doctor or I gave him juice, or I started him on cereal. I think it is best to go with your gut, when it comes to feeding kids. Gayle
