Guest guest
I am very happy to report that my food was liked THE BEST of everything brought! and was eaten all up, except for a few of the Jam Dots that dh manage to snag and hide. LOL. I am supposed to copy recipes for several people and bring them tomorrow night to Bible study, too! I found a lot of good recipes in here and in the Feral Vegetarian too. :>) Highly recommend 'em. I made: UnMeat Turnovers (aka, Pies) Broccoli Bites and a variation of Cheesy Sunflower Wafers, because my sunflower seeds fell into the back of my friend's van and we didn't find out until AFTER the party! So I made Cheese Wafers instead... and my Jam Dots gussied up for Christmas. This sure blew a lot of people's minds gastronomically speaking <VBG> concerning vegetarian vittles! And made my reputation, as well. Thanks for everybody's help, tips and pointing to the files. I'll go there first thing next time! Guest guest
Hi Bron: I make a dip out of garbanzo (chick peas), you make it like tuna salad. drain and mash the beans then add a little bit of mayo and or mustard, some pickle relish, celery, and maybe some green onions, or some chopped red onion. mix it together and let it chill. You may also want to add some salt and pepper. It can be served with crackers and or veggies to dip. gayle
Guest guest
Gayle, My husband loves chickpeas, so I will definitely try this soon. :>) Thanks for the recipe. I have never tried chickpeas, I must confess. They look like the way lima beans taste to me; waxy. But I will have to try them NOW, because this recipe sounds delicious! Guest guest
HI Bron: I am glad you want to try it.. I can't remember where I found the recipe it was so long ago. The recipe was called mock tuna salad, I have never called it that as I new my husband wouldn't try it.. I called it bean dip that he tried. He even liked it.. Let me know what you think of it.
