It would be nice to think that some non-vegetarians watched this and it made them think a bit about what they're eating. The parts about mothers and social groups caring about others in the group was pretty moving, IMHO. Also the communication with Washoe was very interesting. I missed the first part of it so hope to catch the whole thing again sometime. The show did cover some experiments I didn't like very much even though it provided good information. I had heard about the experiments with the young monkeys having two fake wire mother monkeys, one with a bottle providing food and the other being made of soft cloth and I wonder how many human beings would like to read about experiments in which young babies weren't able to live with real human mothers but, as an experiment, were placed with mannequin mothers.
