Hey Angela,

Girl, I know right where you are! I used to live in San Angelo as a little

girl, spent much of my childhood there. My grandfather was in a what was

then called a " sanitorium " in Big Spring and we visited him there quite a

bit. Also had church friends living there, and a preacher's wife there gave

me my first cookbook, a Betty Crocker Picture cookbook which I still cherish

and use a lot!

Just thought I'd say " hidy " ...I still consider San Angelo my hometown. Or,

one of 'em. My other hometown is Granbury, TX (where I graduated

highschool).

hugs,

Bron

Hi Bron,

'hidy' back at cha. it's a nice little town, like it here most of the time.

awful time at first, was soooooooo homesick for CA. still am at times - usually

when bemoaning the lack of public transportation and stores! I don't drive

anymore so going to Midland, Odessa, where ever to shop isn't an option. but the

health food store is going to order miso for me - WalMart has some vegetarian

foods + so does HEB. Soon as Publishers ClearingHouse knocks on my door with

that big check I'll be movin' ( LOL, not holdin' my breath ) but 'till then

here's a good place to live.

Peace,

Angela

Hi Jenni,

last lived in San Jose - bus stop a block and a half from my apt, sigh.

trolley downtown, CalTrain to San Francisco - great bus system in the city.

have also lived in so. cal, San Bernardino, Rialto. Used to go to Loma Linda

to grocery shop, the absolute best vegetarian supermarket in the world! that

was in the '70's - Loma Linda was ( prob still is ) primaraly Seventh Day

Adventist. Wow, whole town of vegetarians, loved it. sigh, now I'm gettin'

homesick again, it's ok tho - good memories no pain ! time to go put the bread

in the oven - better go. oh wait, lived in DC for a while as a kid, + Indian

Head + Marbury. the mint, Smithsonian, Library of Congress, White House, would

love to see those places again!

Peace,

Angela
