Three years back we went Truffle hunting in south west France, They have trained Pigs that can detect the smell of the Truffle mushroom amongst the rotting foliage of the forest floor, They are not much to look at (the mushrooms not the pigs) and smell like Poo, (the Pigs and the Mushrooms) but are just about the most delicious fungi I have ever tasted, One can buy them in some stores but they can cost £20 ($35) each but boy what a taste.
