Plantains in Spanish are called platanos. This is how we make:

 

Rice and Plantains (arroz con platanos)

 

1 large almost black plantain but a little yellow is OK, peeled and cut in

thin circles

some oil or butter

 

Heat the oil in a frying pan, when hot add the plantains and cook turning now

and then

until brown. Put them on top of white rice and serve with your dinner.
