Cream of Potato Soup - Deanna

Deanna,

Why do you recommend cooking the potatoes seperately? Is it because of

the starch content of the water after cooking the potatoes?

you CAN use it for potato biscuits! =)

just replace the liquid in your favorite biscuit recipe w/ tater

water! yummmmm

 

 

or potato bread!

Denise,

Yes, it is because of the taste and texture . If you make a cream

sauce you would use butter,flour and milk/cream. You would never

dilute it with starchy water. Same goes for Cream of Potato Soup

And potato bread lasts longer than bread made with plain water.
