Since we are talking about a Moosewood cookbook, there is a question I've

been meaning to ask.

I have a couple of these cookbooks and I really like them. The last one I

picked up, for a $1, is

Sundays At Moosewood REstaurant. This is the only one I just can't seem to get

into. Has anyone tried any recipes in this book?

Jane (who AGAIN has been sick....yes...I'm going to the

doctor, FINALLY!)

--- Jane,

have this one too : ). there are lots of good recipes if you tend

towards unusual ones. my 3 favorite recipes in there are the Black

Bean Ful, Bean and Kale Minestra (in files), and Split Pea and Rice

Soup. will post later if anyone interested. Black Bean Ful has

Armenian influence and Split Pea has North African influence. take

care : )..............

Thank you, Anne,

I have these recipes marked to try. I like this cookbook not because I have

tried the recipes, but it's a cookbook that has little " ditties " about the

recipes and the countries they come from. Fun reading for me.

You must like black beans as well as I do! And split pea soup, yum.

--- Jane,

I love the cookbooks that have the little stories to go with the

recipes too : ). very rarely do I buy one that doesn't have some kind

of history or anecdote. it is always fun to get a glimpse into someone

else's world : ) and what is traditional in different parts of the

world. take care : )...........
