Guest guest
Oh I did check it out at Burger King, it's a separate grill. I insisted and the manager thought he better let me see to shut me up..........LOl Donna TendrMoon wrote: In a message dated 1/9/06 12:27:35 PM Eastern Standard Time, truepatriot writes: > Speaking of fast food - have any of you tried Burger King's veggie > burgers? My first thought when I read about the veggie burger was that they use the same grill that the regular burgers are prepared on. Was reading Vegetarian Voice today and I'm happy to report that they (supposedly) use a separate grill. I really want to believe them. I wonder, would they let me check it out for myself? :-) TM
Guest guest
I don't like fast food either but there's always a rare time when I'm out and have to grab something. A veg. sandwich at Subway or Burger King veg. burger. I have quite a few Whole Foods in my area so if I'm stuck out there ,I try to run into a Whole Foods and grab something also. And I'm sure we're not the only ones either. TM
Guest guest
Just one caveat on the Burger King veggie burger, *for those who are vegans*: The mayo that they use has eggs in it. A FYI there. I asked a manager one time AFTER eating the burger. Should have asked before. :<( Oh, well. Guest guest
How about dairy? Dairy does evil awful things to me. Guest guest
When the veggie burger first came out at BK I asked it it was cooked on a separate grill and was told no. I did not order one. I had the whopper minus the meat. In other words a salad on a bun. Gayle
Guest guest
To me it all depends upon how hungry I am, LOL. I thought of that and then thought of how the grill is flames and I thought it would all be burned off, LOL. I was hungry, and by the way, it was ok, but nothing compared to a Boca. Now at work they have cheese fries, and just like I thought, they are fried in the same oil as the chicken. Even the meat eaters were a bit appalled when they found out. anywho, of to cook for the week. Gonna make collards today, and some mac and cheese. Huby invited his mom over for a meat dinner and told me this morning, YAY, and I told him a few things too, but what it boils down to is that hubby will take care of his dinner with his mother, and I will do all the chores I have to do and pop my gorgeous head in every now and then, chat for 2 minutes and 25 seconds, and pop back out. hugs, Chanda - glpveg4life Sunday, January 15, 2006 11:38 AM Re: fast food different grilll at Burger King TM When the veggie burger first came out at BK I asked it it was cooked on a separate grill and was told no.
