Speaking of appliances, is the crockpot safe to leave on while you

are out for a few hours? I got one for Christmas and wondered what the group

thought about it.

TIA, Kenia

I let the crocpot cook on high and then I turn it to

the low setting when I left the house for only maybe

2 or 3 hours. I always thought this was safe but now I don't know

for sure. Hope some members have a good answer for us Kenia.

-Tia,

I have left my crock pot on for hours at a time. Out for the day and

when I returned ,hot yummy food. I have never heard of a crock pot

catching on fire.

I feel comfortable leaving mine on for a few hours while I'm out also. I

usually turn it to a lower heat until I come back.
