Guest guest
OK Dr. Ron I can tell you have your job on your mind right now....You cooked your rice in a bowel. LOL Had to tease you a little bit. I needed a laugh after a long day. I'm ready to go make dinner now. I have never seen a rice button on a microwave. How long did it take to cook? Was it a lot faster? On a serious side, I'm happy we are seeing your posts again and that your are experimenting in the kitchen. Big smiles your way! Donna Ronald Hess <ronhess0760 wrote: Greetings, I cooked some rice in my microwave using the microwave's " rice button " I could not believe the results. I almost did not even do it because I had doubts on how it would turn out. I thought surely it would be over or under cooked. it was perfect in the glass bowel. It didn't stick to the sides. I would have paid the price I paid for the microwave just for the rice feature alone. Ron
Guest guest
Oh my Lady Donna, You are so right, :laughs: I have a patient in CCU right now with such issues, :laughs: and the past few days I must have written the word " bowel " a hundred times. I shudder at the thought of eating my rice from a bowel, glass or otherwise. :big laughs: As far as that you are happy to see me here, let me respond with, I don't have too many outlets in that I don't have much time. After the work is done for the day, and after my daughter is in bed, or when I get a chance occasionally during the day here and there, it is a joy to be able to be a part of a group such as this, concentrating on my healthy newfound hobby. It is I that am happy that after my hiatus that you are there waiting for me, Ron On Behalf Of purplepassion Tuesday, January 10, 2006 6:40 PM Re: rice in my new microwave Hi Dr. Ron OK Dr. Ron I can tell you have your job on your mind right now....You cooked your rice in a bowel. Guest guest
Hi Ron, It's wonderful seeing your posts in here. I can't imagine being a doctor, single parent and trying to spend time in the kitchen too. Your schedule is booked. Life is getting back to normal for you now and please write us when you are free. You have to tell us more about the rice, I'm also curious about brown rice in the microwave. I always make mine in the rice cooker and it comes out perfect. I've never been able to cook brown rice in the microwave or crockpot. I get brown gum instead.....LOL Enjoy your day...........LadyMaDonna Ronald Hess <ronhess0760 wrote: Oh my Lady Donna, You are so right, :laughs: I have a patient in CCU right now with such issues, :laughs: and the past few days I must have written the word " bowel " a hundred times. Guest guest
Thank you so much Lady MaDonna, Yes it is hard at times, but the rewards make up for it. I am fortunate that I can afford to hire a nanny to help me. I had to sell my new convertible and downgrade to a used automobile to do so. I know, all the single moms out there are just feeling so sorry for me. :laughs: I am a workaholic, but right now I have no other choice as it is what my schedule demands. This will only last another few years, and then my schedule will be much more livable. Then I can stay home more and cook! You enjoy your day as well Donna. Guest guest
Thank you Lady MaDonna, I wholeheartedly agree. I purchased the Mustang because it was something I have always desired. I don't miss it in that I rarely enjoyed it due to time constraints. I am just as happy in my 2002 minivan. :big smile: My wife is still in possession of her Jaguar, which I try not to let get to me, but I have something much more precious. Do try my pie Donna, I posted it prior to this post. You will enjoy it. Ron Oh Ron, You hang in there. Samantha needs you. The car is a material item and life will get better.
