Recommended Posts

The deal with fish on Fridays (during Lent) for Catholics is so that

you are not eating " meat. " you don't have to consume fish! As a

child, I had peanut butter and jelly or egg salad in my lunch.

Ah gotcha :)

 

I grew up in a really secular Jewish household, so much of this stuff is

beyond me. lol

 

Numerous people however, have found it amusing that my dietary habits force

me to keep " kosher " .

My mom always served the same 3 things: scrambled eggs, macaroni in tomato

sauce and salmon patties.

PS I gave up the meatless Fridays when I left home. I now know THAT was a

mistake! LOL

My family has comented on that as well, since I didn't keep kosher before I was

vegetarian.
