Guest guest
There are many Internet sites explaining some of the dangers of the radiation emmitted by microwave ovens. If you still have the instructions that came with your microwave you will note how they give warnings about how far away from the microwave you should be while it is operating. The one I believe is most serious is the warming of babies bottles and how the chemicals in plastic, including a synthetic hormone estrogen enters food from plastic containers. Guest guest
ok. you have my attention..I do not recall warming many things in plastic but since I am sitting here with hormone fed BC, I am listening... I still believe alot of my problems came from dairy since I was a big milk drinker. Can you give a link to a good site? Guest guest
What is *hormone fed BC*? My dad was a cheese maker by trade and I was raised on cream, milk by the gallon, and all kinds of cheese. I am knocking on wood here because I am 65. a Vegetarian for 20+ yrs.,and very careful with my diet before that, and very healthy. I take no medication but I no longer use dairy, not intentionally anyway..I think they sneak some in my chocolate chips. LOL I am not that fond of soy cheese but I eat it because I think it is better for me. I've been told that it is not worth giving up all the *good stuff* because we are all going to die some day anyway. Maybe so but I would like to feel and look good until that day. I think cheese was the hardest to give up... D'vorah , " genny_y2k " <genny_y2k> wrote: > > What is *hormone fed BC*? Guest guest
I understand now what you meant by bc. You have a head start on beating this disease due to your general good health and diet. These days Estrogen is not prescribed to woman who have a family history of breast cancer. My mother and sister both were on a low dosage for menopausal symptoms and their doctors both advised them to stop taking it. They did. Had some brief symptoms(hot flashes night sweats) but are now fine. I do not take Estrogen and have safely and calmly survived Menopause. LOL Sending healing thoughts your way Deanna , " Dvorah L. Guest guest
I am going through a temp chemical induced menopause and the hot flashes were not bad for me at all. I do understand that for some women it can be. I support their choice. My Mom died in 96 of ovarian cancer caused by HRT. Apparently the women in my family are sensitive to hormones. I am not concerned with natural occurring hormones happening in foods, but I am wary of those added. In fact, estrogen naturally occurs in grains, beans and some fruits and veggies. I would have to quit eating.... I will accept those healing thoughts! D'vorah , " genny_y2k " <genny_y2k> wrote: > > I understand now what you meant by bc. Guest guest
-Does everyone know the difference between synthetic estrogen and natural estrogen? I'm not sure I understand all of it but do you know that Premerin , etc. is mad from horse urine? There are several good Internet sites that explain . Deanna -- In , " Dvorah L. Guest guest
Yes, I knew that.<disgust> I was on that stuff for about a month and had to get off because it had, shall we say, " adverse effects " on me. And THEN I found out what was IN it--much to my horror. Bron, Who decided at that point that hot flashes were tolerable in comparison to the side effects of Premarin...
