I hope you feel better. What migraine meds do you take?

I have them too. Funny I see this email today because I got a migraine today

at work and did not have my medicine with me. I remembered a old trick and it

worked. Rub Ben-Gay all over your neck, shoulders, temples, behind ears. It is

great!

Imitrex but I try not to take it if possible. It makes me feel real bad. I

ache, my face gets puffy and my throat swells. It still does not take away the

pain.

I take Imitrex and it works almost 100%. I used to take the shot but I think

there are less side effects with the pills. I try everything alternative but

sometimes I have to take this med. Sorry you have side effects from it.

I also suffer from migraines, but I'm a stubborn no-med-taker

(not even aspirin). This weekend, I had one for at least 48

hours. :( I'll have to remember to try the ice water foot

bath next time. I've also heard that smelling a Granny Smith

apple is good for headaches.

I got them weekly in college. I took feverfew herb for about a year

and really kicked the cycle. I also figured out the caffeine was a

huge trigger for me. I rarely get them now, and no longer take feverfew.

Carrots as well, Erin.. as is carrot juice. They boost the level of

seratonin (spelled wrong, I'm sure) in the brain... which is what

Immitrix does, although< I " m sure Immitrex does it more!

I've been taking feverfew for YEARS now. :)

It definitely reduced the frequency and severity.

Maybe that's why I can tough them out these days.
