Guest guest
I just broke down and bought one - my kitchen is too darned hot to cook in! Most of the recipes are m*at, though. Anybody got any favourites to share? Thanks! Be well, Hadass in Winnipeg.
Guest guest
I saw a picture of a George Foreman grill being used to grill veggies; it made me want to buy one, but I hesitated. Probably Gardenburgers and similar patties would do well. I would add a few drops of liquid smoke flavor or non-anchovy worchestershire sauce or maybe soy sauce. Let us know how it works out. --- Be kind. Be of good cheer. Dick
Guest guest
Definitely let us know -- I want one but had heard mediocre things, so hadn't. Guest guest
My brother bought me one and when I first opened it I really thought he was an idiot. I couldn't imagine what I could cook on it. Now that I've had it a few months I love it (and have apologized to my brother) Obviously, any vegie burger or vegie dog can be cooked on it. If anyone has ever made the tofu bacon recipe from PETA it is outrageous on the Foreman grill (even my non veg family and friends agree) Basically anything that can be made into a patty works well. I've also done vegies on it and they come out really well. The only trick seems to be do vegies with a similar cooking time together. I usually cut the vegies and use a little olive oil and seasons. Then I shake the whole thing in a bowl to coat and then put it on the grill. I don't really know about times because I just kind of wing it. peace, Katie -- " Lion's Ima " <heviatar Mon, 14 Jul 2003 20:05:23 -0000 ><html><body> > > ><tt> >I just broke down and bought one - my kitchen is too darned hot to<BR> >cook in! Guest guest
I'd heard that veggie get soggy in it since the steam is trapped. Not your experience?
