Hello All,

My ds just turned one and I am seeking some fun meal suggestions! He won't do

the baby food any longer as he likes to handle his food on his own? He likes

tofu and veggie burgers/hotdogs. Any other suggestions?

As a proud cloth diapering mother I have picked up a few tricks

along the way for stinks stains and other scary things. During the

regualr wash use Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda. It will also clean

just about anything else. Do a second rinse on those stinkers and

add white vinegar. Either one of those alone may do the trick but

together they kick butt. Good luck.

My twin girls just turned one too and I feed them EVERYTHING (except nuts,

popcorn and things like raw carrots that they can't chew). They have only two

bottom teeth and they do really well on most anything we eat.

Here are some quick ideas that we use (just cut everything up and make sure

it is cooked to a soft consistency):

~Red beans and rice (boxed kind for a quick meal)

~Pasta with marinara sauce (I toss in some spinach or other cooked veggies)

~Whole wheat tortilla with vegetarian refried beans and little melted vegan

cheese

~Stir fry - veggies of choice mixed with tofu, brown rice and bit of teriyaki

or soy sauce

~english muffin warmed with pizza sauce. we sometimes add any combo of the

following: 'meat' crumbles, vegan cheese, cooked onion/peppers/other veggies.

I am sure I have some more, but that is all I can think of for now! The twins

are calling...

THANK YOU! My kids all love this. It is now their breakfast everyday. I never

thought of it! I have been grinding flax seed or nuts into the O's for an

extra boost.
