I was wondering if anyone was from or familiar with

the Dayton, OH area. There is a chance that we will

be relocating there soon. Is it a veg friendly place?

We would probably have to live in the northern

suburbs due to the location of my husband's

prospective job. Is anyone familiar with the school

systems in the northern Dayton suburbs? Thanks.

I'm not sure about how veg friendly dayton itself is,

but there is an entirely vegan restaurant in

springfield, which is about 25 minutes away. its

called strange brew, and is at 227 E. Cecil St at the

corner of north limestone. phone 937-322-4233. they

have great food.

There are not many vegetarian restaurants in Dayton, but there is, of course,

plenty of ethnic restaurants. There are a number of natural foods stores and

farmers' markets. Even the grocery store chains are finally starting to carry

some vegetarian products. I lived in the Dayton area as a vegetarian for a

number of years before relocating to Columbus. Columbus has some wonderful veg

restaurants as well as a Wild Oats Market. Cincinnati is also veg friendly. I

am back in Dayton now. We have groceries here by the name of Dorothy Lane

Markets that intermingle natural foods, gourmet foods, and regular grocery

store items. They are located in Centerville, Oakwood, and Springboro.

As for the school districts, you would have to be more specific. Do you have

any ideas where you may locate to?
