Saute 1 large onion, dieced, and 2 med. green peppers in 3 T. oil (I use half

cup water)

Add:

1.5 c. boiling water

2.5 c tomato sauce

1-2 T. Chili powder

good pinch pepper

1t. salt

1 T. soy sauce or Braggs

1T. Mustard

1T. sugar

1.5 cups dry TVP

Simmer together for 20 minutes and serve over buns - YUM!!!! (spicy - lower

chili powder for kids if they are sensitive)

What version do you have? My farm cookbook calls for tofu in the sloppy

joes. They are great!

great TVP sloppy joe recipe in there that my family loves. They also have bean,

masa, gluten, and more recipes, all from scratch and from inexpensive

ingredients.
