Guest guest
Tracey, I know of two really good chicken sanctuaries in Maryland. I'm not sure how the rooster would get there. My sister works for PETA. I'll email her real quick and ask her what she thinks! diana > " Tracey " <weety > > > Rooster - OT >Mon, 07 Jun 2004 18:44:37 -0000 > >I don't even know where to post this, but I can't seem to find any >help. > >I live in the city on a 4 lane road. Guest guest
I don't know if anyone can take it if they are not being overtly cruel to it. What seems cruel to us seems fine to the rest of the world, unfortunately. My suggestion is to call the Farm Sactuary located in Watkins Glen NY. They will have a better answer for you. I'm sorry that I don't have the number but they are on the web. Good luck and let me know what happens, Carol Tracey <weety wrote: I don't even know where to post this, but I can't seem to find any help. I live in the city on a 4 lane road. My neighbors have had a small rooster in a cage more suited for a parakeet next to their house for months. It is making me so sad. He cock-a-doodles every morning. They are not english speaking (and not friendly either); so I can't approach them. Does any one have any ideas as to who/where would take this rooster as a rescue? I live in Massachusetts, close to Connecticut. Thanks! Guest guest
Is there a human league around? Call them for help. Or maybe they can give you other possibilities. -- Courtney wife to Seth (2/97) mom to Mackenzie (5/01)
Guest guest
Tracey, Here is the answer to your question tracey. She should call Farm Sanctuary, which is in NY. They can help her find placement if she's able to get the rooster. 607-583-2225 Hope this helps!! Guest guest
I'd contact F.A.R.M. They might be able to give you a resource near you. Also contact PETA and see if they have any suggestions. Good luck. Peace, Laura
Guest guest
I wish I could help you, but as I'm in Georgia, I can only offer you encouragement. I'm not condoning anything illegal, but speaking for myself, I would just have to steal the poor creature. Good luck finding somewhere to take him. --------Val
Guest guest
Come to think of it, maybe Farm Sanctuary could help. Even if they couldn't take him at their NY shelter, surely there are some members in your area who would at least know of a suitable adoptive home for the poor fellow. -----Val www.farmsanctuary.org
